Mary Rose Favuzzi went peacefully to be with the Lord on Nov. 28, 2020, at the age of 95.
Mary Rose was born to Giovanni and Salvatrice (DeSimone) Bartolotta, Aug. 30, 1925, in the Bronx, New York.
Mary Rose met her beloved husband, Dominick, on the dance floor, and they were married Sept. 23, 1950. In 1966, the Favuzzi family moved to Pacifica seeking better opportunities.
Mary Rose was a member of St. Peter Parish
and a founding member of the Italian Catholic Federation Branch 213. She volunteered with St. Anthony’s Stitchers, sewing items for families in need. Upon Dominick’s passing in 1999, she joined the Pacifica Senior Services Grief Support group where she shared her loss and helped others with theirs.
She touched the lives of her caregivers both in-home and at Sun Valley Chateau. They all admired her resilience and strength during difficult times. We are forever grateful to her dedicated and compassionate caregivers.
Mary Rose was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John and Ralph, sister Lucy, husband Dominick and daughter Teresa, who died of leukemia on 2018.
Mary Rose is survived by her sister Laura; son Dominick and wife Marjorie, and grandchildren Josh, Marina, Marcus and fiancee Hazel; son John and wife Barbara, grandchildren Michael, Christina and husband Stan; daughter Teresa’s wife, Carol.
A private ceremony will be held at Skylawn Memorial Cemetery on Dec. 19, 2020. The family requests donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or St Peter Parish in Pacifica.
