Herrell E. Brown was born on June 3,1931, to Olin Herrell Brown and Iris Genendal Brown in Prague, Okla., and passed away on June 19, 2021, in Pacifica, Calif.

Herrell was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Delia Brown, and their infant son Gerald Brown, parents Olin and Genendal Brown, sisters Jean Brown, Ruth McCracken, Alma Sullivan, Eva Best, Carol Sue Dean, brother Ray Brown, nieces and nephews Genie Dean, Jeffry Dean, Jim Brown, Dana Brown Cooper, and Michael Morrison, and great-nephews Christopher Cooper and John K. Autry.

He is survived by siblings Anna Coulter, Donald Brown, Carl Brown, and Ronald Brown. Herrell is also survived by son John Martin, grandchildren Elaine Martin, Robert Martin and Joanna Faughender, great-grandchildren Adriana Martin, Elliott McGee, Owen McGee, Bobby Martin Jr. and Graham McGee, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, great- and great-great nieces and nephews.

Herrell was a loving, devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, friend, artist, horticulturist, carpenter, woodworker, prankster, and fixer of all things. He was a dedicated Marine and served his country proudly in the Korean War.

He will always be remembered as a creative, kind, caring, and generous person, whose greatest happiness came from helping those he loved. He will be missed more than mere words can express. He left a legacy of wonderful memories, delightful creations, comical stories and unending love.

He will be interred at Golden Gate National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his wife and infant son.
