Frank William Henwood, 65, of Pacifica, Calif., passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 26, 2022. Frank was born on March 5, 1956, to John and Katherine Henwood in San Francisco, and was the youngest of three siblings. He graduated from Terra Nova High School in Pacifica, Calif., in 1974.
Frank worked for the Town of Hillsborough Public Works Department for more than 25 years, retiring in 2014. Frank was wed to Debra Hannibal in 1979 and they had two daughters, Heather and Amber. They divorced in 1993, but remained great friends, living just a few miles apart and raising their daughters together in Pacifica.
In 2000, Debra introduced Frank to Ilene Biro and they instantly hit it off. They were married in 2005. Frank and Ilene were best friends and spent all of their days together in their Linda Mar home enjoying the love that they shared and, of course, their dog Pluto. Frank enjoyed shooting, fishing, reading, and spending time with his family. He had become a grandfather in recent years and was really enjoying his role as Grandpa.
Frank was an extremely charming and beloved man who will be missed by many people. He was also a very memorable man, and those countless memories will be recalled, recounted and cherished by all who knew him. Frank was predeceased by his father, John Henwood, and sister Ann Barr. He is survived by his wife, Ilene Henwood, mother Katherine Henwood, older brother Jim Henwood, daughters Heather Killigrew (m. Michael Killigrew) and Amber Mantooth (m. David Mantooth), stepdaughter Marci La Perle (m. Brian La Perle) and his four granddaughters, Kate Killigrew, Kayleigh Killigrew, Jackie Mantooth and Riley Mantooth.
