Aug. 11, 1939 – April 29, 2020


Carol J. Matias, beloved wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2020.   She was 80 years young.

Carol was born in Loco, Oklahoma on August 11th, 1939. Her family moved to San Francisco in 1944.

Carol was preceded in death by Henry; her husband of 60 wonderful years who passed in April of 2019.

Carol & Henry moved to Pacifica in 1961 where they raised their three daughters Michele Broussard (Eric), Janet Bynum (Lee) & Shirley Matias-Raman.

Carol is also survived by her sister, Shirley Tomiampos and her grandchildren, Shahine Matias (Jose), Bobby Matias (Jen), Ricky Raman (Rosie), Mark Broussard (Mae), Stacey Damron (Toby) and Katie Bynum.

Her legacy continues on also in her great grandchildren Kensi & Hunter Broussard, Aden Raman, Avery Damron, plus two brand new additions (due in December) baby Damron and baby Matias as well as her numerous loving nieces, nephews and Carol’s sister in law, Audrey Arnold.

While there will be mourning, we will all celebrate the life of Carol J. Matias and she will live on in our hearts forever.
