Tangerine Arts exhibit in Rockaway

Tangerine Arts presents “Out of the Blue,” an exhibition of artworks on view from Aug. 6 through Oct. 6 at Eccleston Inc., 205 Rockaway Beach Ave., Pacifica. The public is invited to a reception for the artists, hosted by Lisa Eccleston, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 19.

Tangerine Arts is a women’s art group that was founded in 1999 and meets regularly for camaraderie and to share art. Currently, the group includes five Pacificans and one member from San Bruno. In the 22 years of its existence, Tangerine Arts has mounted 23 shows in the Bay Area.

“Out of the Blue” presents work by artists Jennifer Alpaugh, Melinda Lightfoot, Kathy Miller, Nancy Mona Russell, Charlotte Seekamp and Sharron L. Walker. Artists say the title evokes the suddenness with which the world can change, and the hopeful feeling of beginning to emerge from sad times. Viewers will see colorful mosaics, paintings, pastels, photography, and more.

The exhibit is dedicated to longtime Tangerine Arts members Gale Frances and Linda Salter. Exhibitors ask that patrons wear a mask when viewing the works indoors.
