The spring sports season is underway at Ingrid B. Lacy Middle School. The sports currently going are tennis, golf girls lacrosse, and track.

The tennis team won 6 of 10 matches against Taylor School last Thursday at Mills High. The matches, all doubles, are played in pro-set format with the first team to win eight games being victorious. The number one team of Jason Keough and Mike Harold won twice, 8-2 and 8-0. The number two team of Mike Morris and Nathan Stokes won two close battles, 8-5 and 8-4. Ashley Martyn and Jasmine Dayrit won 8-2 and Megan Blanchard and Dominic DeSouza cruised to an 8-0 win.

The track team competed at Skyline College last Thursday. Jadine gonzales had a second place finish in the 100 and a third in the 75. Taylor McGannon and Joey Koblitz both ran very well.

The 17-member golf squad played its first round at Mariners Point Golf course last Monday and Tuesday. Brian Luhrs, James Mulvey, Bryant Jacobs, Trevor Jacobs, Miranda Wiss, Nick Tating and Jared Steele all had solid rounds. The girls lacrosse team plays their first game next Monday.
