S.O.S. Support Our Shops. The second annual Terra Nova Car Show is being held Saturday, May 17 at Terra Nova High School. All proceeds help fund Terra Nova High School's Industrial Tech Program, including auto tech and wood shops.

According to committee member, Pete Yoes, "last year was a huge success and a lot of fun. We are looking forward to this year's show. There's going to be a barbecue lunch, raffle, inflatable jump activity for the kids, specialty booths and a boxing exhibition by Pacifica's own, Baby Face Boxing. Everyone is welcome; it's a great family event."

The Industrial Tech shop students made the awards and are helping out with the event. A $25 donation to show a vehicle includes lunch, raffle tickets and "goodie bag." The first 100 registrants will also receive a free T-shirt. All types of vehicles are exhibited, including hot rods, rat rods, street rods, classic vehicles, motorcycles, service and military vehicles.

Businesses, groups and individuals can donate funds and services to sponsor the show. Recognition to sponsors may be shown on awards and the event T-shirt. All sponsors are displayed at the car show event via banner and are announced throughout the day. The banner is posted in Terra Nova's Industrial Tech department throughout the coming year.

Donations for raffle prizes are also a great contribution to this event. This year, specialty booths are being offered for a minimal fee for those who would like to share their products or services.
